  1. Shooting "Gunite Concrete" is a specialized trade. The equipment needed to do the job is extremely expensive. I would say this is one job best left to the professionals. Sorry.

  2. You are best seeking a professional as you need a liner under the concrete and continuous professional spreading! You must be certain that the ground is prepared appropriately under where the concrete is poured. You also must be aware of sea level issues for the setting of the concrete1

  3. The hard part about pouring concrete for a pool is getting it to stay on the walls.

    You're welcome!!

  4. Unless you are a licensed pool builder,

do not try this at home!

    Hire a pro.

  5. You have three very good answers, already. They all have the same theme: hire a Gunnite Specialist. This is not a D-I-Y project; in fact, it is a project a lot of concrete pros stay away from.

Please take this one last piece of advice: gunnite is shot onto the walls over a "cage" of steel re-bar. Be sure to comply with NEC Article 680 requirements for bonding all pool parts (including the reinforcing steel), using listed bonding clamps, lugs, or exothermic welding. The only time you are not required to bond to the re-bar is when epoxy coated steel is used. [W.W.F. (reinforcing mesh) IS ALSO required to be a part of the equipotential bonding grid. While common wire-ties are allowed as a means to bond the individual re-bar to each other, the best way to bond sections of Welded Wire Fabric to each other is by using a brass "split-bolt" listed for Direct Burial in Concrete or the earth.

  6. If you have to ask you are too uninformed to do it.

I don't mean to be rude to you, just trying to save you from a hellish experience and financial loss.

Even a concrete specialist or non-concrete pool builder would defer to a person experienced in concrete pools.
