Hello

I am a basically physics graduate working as a online physics tutor.

I don't have any finance background. I would like to enter this field by giving CFA exam. I see that Schweser and Stalla are two companies which help people with preparing these exams. But they probably assume prior knowledge of finance/accounting etc. So for somebody like me, how should I prepare for these exams best... Is it helpful to join either Schweser or Stalla since they seem to provide lot of material and videos etc. Please give me advice.........

Regards

A.S.

  1. I am an engineer and passed the CFA all the 3 levels in one go and its not all that difficult. Scheweser is better than Stalla as Stalla is more verbose. Reading material is enough no need for the video

  2. I've used Schweser notes and have been happy with them.

I was an engineering major and passed all three.

Prior to studying for level 1, I bought the Schaum's outline series books on

    Accounting

    Micro Economics

    Macro Economics

You proabably already know probability and statistics and basic calculus, so you should be all set there.
