How do I prepare for a high school house party?

I need to know what I should do if I don't want my parents to find out and if I don't want stuff broken/stained/stolen etc. Also, I need to know what to do to make it fun... Please help. I'm hoping it won't be too many people, but I know you can't count on that. I am expecting around 15 people, so not very big, but I imagine it possibly getting out of hand... We will probably get some BBQ and some sodas and beer. This is going to be both inside and outside by a pool. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Bad idea. Teenagers and beer don't mix. And a pool?!?! This is a disaster in the making. 15 is a big number, and in high school 15 really means 30.

JMHO- it's not a good idea. Hire a sober life guard and pray no one calls the police.

So, you are having a party at home without your parents knowing? Bad idea! Never, ever have a party without your parents permission! And, not knowing who will show up and having beer! Both bad ideas! Your parents will find out, and something will go wrong! I say have a nice party with your parents knowing!

My suggestion is never have a party at your house, just go to other people's parties.

From experience this is a bad bad BAD idea. Your parents WILL find out (probably from your neighbors) and you will get into major trouble. You should have the party at someone else's house and let them get into trouble. It is better that way, trust me.

Your main concern should be the neighbors calling the police if you guys get too loud. Try to keep your guests (especially the loud, drunk ones) inside. Lock your parent's room and any rooms with valuables inside and if there is anything you are afraid of getting broken/stained/stolen make sure to put them in the locked room.

As for your entertainment options beer pong is a classic crowd pleaser. Try to set up two tables so multiple games can go on and be sure to get lots of party cups!

Oh and if any smokers come to your party make sure they go OUTSIDE. Keep those ones quiet too.
