How do I prepare for my first year in high school?

I recently moved to a new town, and I am going to get a tour of my school on monday, but untill then I want to start preparing, but since I have no idea what courses I am going to take in grade eight this year...im kind of confised! What should I study, and how should I prepare for high school in general?

I'm a freshman this year. So my advice to you is do all of your work and study. Don't get too worked up about it, you still have a whole year and a summer.

i don't understand? So, your saying your in grade 8 this year? So why would you want to prepare for high school already?

do any kind of work available to get credits those are a mother,work up on your "not so great subjects" might help and keep organized have an early beddy bye so you can work on being able to work in the morn.

Do as many high school credit classes as you can!! And pass them all!! Pay attention in your math and enlgish classes those are the most important!! If anything just don't slack those classes, or the high school credit classes you choose. Goodluck to you!

When you start in high school the teachers and the older students too will usually help you figure out how things work because they remember being new too! You might have to deal with a few freshman jokes but overall it's not scary so dont worry

But either way, just don't over think it.

It's not what you think it's going to be, honestly.

It really is all about school unless you have an open campus and more than a 30 minute lunch, plus a break.

Otherwise, you only have time to get your books and go to class.

Its not all social like you would think.

That's not advice. So.

I would say, just do your best. You're in 8th grade, so think of it as not your prime year (thats like, 11 or 12) so instead of thinking boys boys boys, think study study study so you at least get the hang of it.

Because you'll have more options when it comes to AP and honors classes, so get prepared for that.

I wouldn't worry about having to write essays and having homework the first day. Its never like that. All in all, the only new rules are you have to turn in your homework on time or its a 0.

So, don't fret.

u're going to grade 8! who cares?

why are you in such a rush? and what is this stuff about studying for high school? just go to class, suck up to teachers and you'll be fine. that is the best way to prepare for high school.

um.....im going to gr 8 so i wudnt kno, but get some school supplies and uh....treat it as any other normal school year? make some new friends in ur new town and you guys can go through it togeteher i guess. ask ur parents for wut to study since they have been to high school...
