How do I prepare for pre-season of Cross Country?

  1. well .....

    first dont start offf with too much or it will throw your body off because its too much for your body to handle all at once ( so dont start off with a 5 mile run)

    if you never really ran before then id suggest start with running 2 miles a day for maybe 2days of running then on the 3rd day try to run 3 miles ( all at a comfortable pace) then maybe 5days to a week into running increase your milage to 4 miles and so on or you can stick with 3 miles but increase your speed ( after all an xc meet is about 3.1 miles) so youll be getting and idea what races are like

    and also when you first start out dont run everyday give yourself 2 days of the week to rest so your body and muscles can restore themselves


  2. Best way to prepare is to improve your diet. When we have a couple weeks off during summer, I just don't drink too many sodas and attempt to stay away from fast food places.

  3. take an aerobics class to improve your cardio ability
