  1. get the study guide book

  2. almost all SAT review books should have a list of commonly appearing SAT words. Princeton Review calls it the "hit parade" or something like that.

  3. do anything. dont use Teeth and Nail. it sucks balls. i used it i got screwed

  4. freerice.com

and study common word lists if you're in a rush, read in general too otherwise

  5. It depends on how much time you're giving yourself to get ready. If you have several years and you're worried about the future, then I say just ready continually and look up any words you don't understand. The more you read, the higher your vocabulary tends to be.

However, if you don't have a lot of time, I suggest going to the library and checking out or buying one of the SAT study guides with all the common words in them.

If the SAT doesn't work out for you, then try the ACT if your college will accept that test. I took both and I found the ACT to be easier.

  6. My best advice is to either get one of those huge SAT books and study the vocabulary. Ugh it takes a while though....

Or you can take like one of those classes that offer help for all the subjects...

You can always get help from your family also asking you random vocabulary words for their definition... SAT's are pretty tough but i heard the PSAT's are harder so... GOOD LUCK!!!!
