Question:

How do I prevent HTML posts reaching my Yahoo eGroup?

More and more ISPs are converting Plain Text messages to HTML so that they can add features of their own within the message. Examples are AoL and Yahoo's new format.

This is messing up posts for some of my members: group emails are coming through garbled in the wrong character sets, or the text is superimposed over ISP images.

I notice that some groups I belong to automatically reject HTML posts. How do I do that for mine?

And could I ask what will I lose if I do it?

For example can Plain Text hyperlinks still get through?

Thanks

  1. The members when they join need to change their subscription information when it comes to allowing HTML.  I would recommend checking with a Yahoo Groups customer service representative as well to see what they say.
