How do I prevent a cold?

I am starting school next week and I really don't want to be sick but I may have been exposed to one. I have no symptoms yet. I was first exposed 3-4 days ago and just now have been using purell every 5 seconds. How do I stop it from starting up?

  1. You CANNOT PREVENT A COLD, it's a virus and there are NO CURES for any virus. When you have a cold, all you can do is take something to make you comfortable and sometimes that doesn't work. You can take 1000 mgs of Vitamin C everyday, it will make the cold less severe.

  5. If you've already been infected, there isn't much you can do to really prevent it, but you can stop it from getting worse. Get lots of rest (7-8 hours), drink lots of water, and keep your hands clean.
