Question:

How do I prevent my cats from urinating on the carpet?

I moved into a new apartment a few months ago, and immediately my cats began urinating on a particular spot in the hallway. Since they've never done this before, I suspect the previous tenant may have had a cat that went there before I moved in. Anyway, I keep using cat detergent on the spot, but they keep re-marking it. There is a huge stain, so at this point I know I'll have to pay for the carpet when I move out, but I'd like to keep the stain and smell to a minimum while I'm here. Is there anything I can put there to keep them away?

  1. Well U Gotta Potty Train Them. Show Them The Litter Box Make Them Play With it With their hands and then theyll Pee next time over there.

  2. If everything medical has been ruled out you have to go back to the basics.  Confine him to a small room such as a bedroom or bathroom with the litter box.  Take him out to play etc and then right back in until he starts using the litterbox again.   You could also try cat attract litter which works really well.   you might also want to consider putting his litterbox on the spot he has been going, or a food dish they usually won't go where they eat..

    good luck.

  3. cats dont like vinegar, so put some around the carpet area.
