  1. There are a hundred different things that can make an engine ping you would really have to have some  one look at it or listen to it who knows about your car. The thing I can tell you is, its never good to use different fuel every fill up its best to pick one place you like and stick with it.

  2. Your timing is off

  3. if theres anyway possible, try to adjust the timing. or it might be the knock sensor.

  4. The only thing I would recommend is Techron by Chevron which is one of the few additive that actually works. I would also suggest that you use some Top Tier gasoline (Chevron, Texaco,Shell, etc) and not anything cheap that has a high sulfur content. If that doesn't work in a very short period of time then take it to the dealer and let them diagnose what your problem is before you do some serious engine damage.

  5. somethings wrong...Check engine lite on?   scan it for problem...i can figure why at 33k   should not need tune for another 50 K...get it checked before engine blowes...oh ...is it low on coolant or oil? that will do it..

  6. I have the same vehicle.  It is not the engine.  Its a part on the engine.  Like a long piece of metal.  and it plugs into the engine.  It will continue to make more noise.

Take it to the dealer.  It cost about $350 .  I wish i was home where my invoice is I'd read what it is they changed.  But it is not your engine.  It's like a I'll go look at the invoice. It's a Module that inserts into the side of the engine.

It's on the top of the engine, and it's at the passengers side.

Save yourself the problems, and take it to a ford dealership.

    They know what to do.

Make sure the oil is clean, and at the right level.  Also mine did the same thing at 50k miles.

Like i said, it will start out like a small sound, then it will become more noticeable.  Then you will not be able to stand the noise.

  7. it sound like your engine has  mechanical problem because your vehicle mileage is very low.. try to have a technician diagnos your vehicle before more damage occur. using additive  is a waste of money. you need to fix the main cause.
