Question:

How do I prevent razor burn on my legs?

No matter what I do, I always get razor burn on the insides of my calves.

I've tried so many things, including different razors, different shave gels/creams, shaved with conditioner, I've tried shaving not against my hair growth, but down (and all that does is make my shaving less efficient!)

Can somebody please help?

I have no idea what to do and I'm sick of being embarrassed of my red legs!

  1. Right after you shave, put a ton of Vitamin E (available in a pumpable bottle at Walgreens) all over your legs. Also, use a moisturizing lotion on over top or under the Vitamin E. This works for me so I hope it works for you! Good luck!

  2. I don't remember what it is called but in the aisle where you get your shaving cream there is this stuff that you put on after shaving and it helps keep you from getting the razor burn. It is usually on the self right next to the shave gel/cream. I used to get razor burn all the time then I used this stuff and it worked. I know use conditioner and it works good for me and makes my legs really smooth so I would say keep using conditioner and this stuff that you get at the store.

  3. Try applying a skin moisturiser on your legs after shaving...just a theory, I have no evidence to base it on, but its worth a try I guess :-)
