How do I prime a lawn sprinkler pump?

There's some bolts on the front? I'm not sure how to do this? I filled it with water..

Is there a plug on the top of the wet end (pump end) housing?   You can fill it there if so, or take the pressure line off, fill, and put the line back on.   Without knowing the make or model of pump about all I can advise is that you need to make sure the pump body, not the motor, and the suction line are both full of water before you start it.   Sometimes it will take several priming's before it will finally start to pull water.
