I had Eight Page document to print.

I chose page set up>Multiple pages>book fold> and sheet per booklet>Auto.

I chose Print>properties>printing shortcuts>what do you want to do>General everyday printing.

various options were opened. I chose Print on both sides>option "Manually.>ok >ok> print >ok.

Thus one side of page was printed but when the other side was to be printed some instructins of 5 baloons came.. reading each instructions and applied with all the options.. But result was not right.

As I had chosen the option in page set up , the multiple pages>booklet form, each page should print Four sides. Hence each side will have both ODD and Even number of pages. Hence my endevour to use the option of Mannual printing as per computer guide lines did not work or succeed..

Please give reason of failure and how to ensure correct printing?

Thanks for your guidance.

  1. All I can suggest is that you choose to print pages 1, 3, 5, 7 and then turn the paper over and choose to print pages 2, 4, 6, 8

Sounds pretty obvious to me and that's how I do it but maybe I've misunderstood your question.

    Hope this helps.

  2. ctrl p. In pages and make,, it example 1,3,5,7,9. after that flip it ctrl p again and 2,4,6,8.,10

    easy....

  3. The above answer is correct. There is a setting to only print even pages, that's what that is for. You'll have to be careful how you orient the pages after you flip them over.

You should print odd first, that way, when you're done printing the even pages after you've flipped them, the pages will be in the correct order as well.  Also, you have to pay attention to whether your printer prints from the top or bottom of the stack. You can change the settings for which page the printer starts with as well. Say you want to start with the last page so that it lays them down in reverse order for the evens to be loaded. It takes some logical thinking, and you'll need to experiment with small numbers of pages before you start a big job.

  4. Why don't you just print all the odd pages first by typing the numbers in manually and then flip them and print all the even numbers by typing those in? Its only an 8 page document... It sounds like you are working too hard.
