Question:

How do I print wirelessly, from my wireless enabled laptop?

Here's the deal:

I have a...

-BT Home Hub

-HP nc6000 laptop - in-built wireless

-HP 2575 All-in-One Printer - with an RJ45 network port

-Windows XP Proffesional Service Pack 3

I have no sort of network at all - apart from the direct connection between the router and the laptop.

Would someone be so kind as to tell me if and how it is possible to connect my printer, using an RJ45 cable, to the BT Home Hub, and somehow send a document from my laptop to print, wirelessly.

Please help!

Thanks

  1. You could do this three different ways:

1 - Get a printer with a built in wireless adapter.

2 - Get a wireless router, plug the printer to a PC, then plug the PC to the router and set up a "workgroup" network where printer sharing is enabled.

3 - Get a wireless router, plug the printer to the router.
