Do I wait for seed, take cuttings or root division? If it's cuttings, what time of year.

  1. I have aconite growing.  Seeds are slow to germinate and can take nearly a month - some say you should plant them in a container, freeze for 3 months and then maintain 20deg to germinate.  I would soak them in warm water for 24hours before planting and then plant on when big enough.  I would wear gloves while doing it though as every part of the plant is poisonous and aconite may get in through a cut.  Root division may be done in the spring. Found this on the Internet too:

"Plant fresh seeds immediately. New offset tubers can be divided in the spring. Bulbils, produced in leaf notches, should be collected and planted before they fall to the ground"

DON'T FORGET TO WEAR THE GLOVES
