  1. Get a large rubbermaid tub and fill it with hot soapy water. Let the suit soak for about 15 minutes. Then completely rinse it and hang to dry.

  2. the easies way to do this,

clean your bath tub so there is no soap in it.    take your wetsuite outside and hose it off, inside and out to get out sand and such.

then take it into the bathtub and submerge it in water and add about 2 cups of vinegar to the water and work the suit around in it,

let it soak for about 5 minutes, this will kill the bacteria. some people use 4 cups of vinegar, but i only use 2 and had good results

then rinse your wetsuit completely, and make sure you sponge it by squeezing it while you rinse it.

then hang it on a hanger made for a wet suit and let it air dry

as soon as you have it hung up, take silcone lube and heavily dope all the zippers so that they do not rust.

your suit is taken care of

i have 2, a 800 dollar custom suit for ice diving, (and you though my logo was just a fancy thing)  and a light suit for kayaking in icy water.  i treat both the same.   one is 12 years old in great shape, the other 2 years old.

make sure you get the sand out of the zipper of your boots, and clean all your dive gear, especially the regulator by flushing it out, (mouth piece not your first stage).

  3. Lay the wetsuit flat in the bath tub filling with enough luke warm water to submerge the wetsuit, lightly wipe over the material in a stroking motion with your bear hands.  You can add a small amount of mild washing detergent if you wish.

After the bulk of the sand is removed, drip dry excess water and place on a thick plastic coat hanger.  Hang the wetsuit on the closthes line and give it a light rinse with the hose.  Turn the Wetsuit inside out and do the same.  Allow to dry inside out in the shade, do not dry in duirect sunlight and it can cause damage to the Wetsuit material.

  4. stick on the clothes line and hose it down  then ring it out

  5. soak it in water (hot or cold) for a long time.

  6. rinse it off dude thats all i do with mine if been surfing for a very long time

  7. The best is to buy a special soap at your local surfshop,
