  1. I'd use a semi-colon, but other people might disagree and use a dash. Just don't use a colon or a comma.

  2. Semi-colon.

  3. Colon.

  4. If I were writing it I would probably use a dash or a period.

Young as he was, Steve was powerfully built. The result of years of strength training.

  5. semi-colon

young as he was, Steve was powerfully built; the result of years of strenght training

    hope i helped!

  6. You could use an em-dash here, so it would read:

Young as he was, Steve was powerfully built—the result of years of strength training.

The em-dash is usually three small dashes.

You could also use a comma but it wouldn't have quite as strong an effect.

You can't use a semicolon. The semicolon connects two complete clauses together. "The result of years of training" is not a complete clause, so a semicolon would be incorrect.

If you use a period you will have a fragment, which is also incorrect.

  7. I'd put either a comma or dash, definitly none of the other things. Probably a dash.
