My BMI is low (below 18.), but I still feel fat and blubbery I just want to FEEL healthy! I don't care about the weight factor anymore. I want to feel clean inside and out.

How do I go about that?

What kind of diet should I partake?

How long till I feel or see results from clean eating?

just in advanced - Thanks so much for your answers!

  1. You have a psychological problem that all the "clean" eating in the world will not change.  You need serious counseling.

  2. A BMI of under 18 is underweight, so it's particularly important to make sure you're eating enough calories, about 2500 a day.

Your body is amazingly effective at cleansing itself. The liver has a huge role to play in detoxifying (removing harmful substances such as alocohol) from the bloodstream. However, you could consider taking a milk thistle herbal supplement to aid your body's detoxification process. Water really helps too.

Good foods to eat to cleanse your digestive tract are high fibre, nutritious foods such as beans, wholegrain cereal, wholemeal bread, tomatoes, nuts and seeds (VERY effective) and apples. These foods are high in Non Starch Polysaccharides (commonly known as 'fibre').

Nuts are probably the best food to snack on, unless you're allergic to them, because they're high in good fats, vitamins and minerals. If you incorporate more RAW foods (fruit, nuts, etc) into your diet, you'll see and feel the difference, believe me.

In addition to a good diet, enjoy a moderate amount of exercise. This could be anything from jogging, to brisk walking, or even long distance running. Your lifestyle has a huge impact on your health. Whenever possible, try to reduce stress by spending more time doing what you like to do, like listening to music or meditation- it helps you unwind.

    Good luck! :]

  3. If your BMI is below 18 I highly doubt you are "blubbery" !

Its good your not obessesing over your weight, its a good sign your not going to suffer from an eating disorder.

The strict detox diet is not cosidered healthy as it leaves out large and important food groups, so your not meeting nutritional needs.

I suggest going without excessive packaged and processed foods, alcohol and caffine for 1-2 weeks and focus on fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grain breads, raw nuts and seeds. Oh a drink up on the h20. You'll have sparkling eyes, clearer skin and heaps of energy.

But make sure your nourishing your body well, don't be left hungry! detox should be enjoyed.

  4. You can have healthy lifestyle by eating more vegetables and fruits. You can eat more go foods and grow foods. Or to feel detoxified, you can drink pineapple juice. Pineapple juice has lots of fiber that can help you detoxify your body and I'm sure you'll eliminate everyday.

However do not feel fat or thin. Avoid sedentary lifestyle for this can damage your heart as well as your circulatory system. That's what i can say. hope I helped...:D
