How do I put a diaper on female dog?

Hi community member's,

Where do I get dog diapers? (Can I use large Pamper's & tape on?) I am grand dog sitting Lacey ( Rottweiler's) of course she is bleeding. Crated her up cause Apollo (male) here too. Step by step is a plus as I have never done this. Thanks, I'll return for what I feel is the best answer. Have a good day. :0)

You can get a doggie diaper from any pet store, and yes you can use reg diapers just cut a hole for the tail and strap on like any diaper.  put tail through hole first and strap around legs then strap together.  BTW putting a diaper on her will not stop the male from humping her.  A friend's dog got pregnant while wearing a diaper during her heat cycle.

Get a Pull Up or a Good Nites, depending on the size you need. I've been told those work best, because they're made for kids who are a little older, and tend to have more absorption, but are quite flexible as well. Plus, you don't have to worry about the traditional diaper's taped sides pulling off and exposing her.

Either petsmart or petco have dog diapers.

It is like puting a diaper on a baby....LOL

Probably Petsmart - they have pull-on diapers in different sizes  - It's not getting them on - it's keeping them on that problematic

They are called "seasonals" and you can get them in most pet stores, or check online.

You buy the panty (they actually have very cute ones) and place a doggie diaper pad (also in pet stores) in it, then just change the diaper pad when it is dirty.

It is very easy, just a velcro on "seasonal" panty that you lay a pad in, same as a human daily pad.

A regular baby diaper would not work, would be cumbersome and come off -- get the seasonals made especially for dogs.

You could get doggy diapers at Walmart, Target, K- Mart, ETC.

Any store like Walmart that you go to should have them in stock in all sizes(:

They usually cost around $10 or less!

But dont get the actual baby diapers cuz they fall off.

a lot depends on WHY you need them.. if it is for heat purposes well if you have a male around good luck.  I also have tried pampers, and toddler ttraining pants with hole cut in them and they are not effective.

You can try the ones in my storefont (its not direct sell so click through for infomation and buy local if you can or not as you prefer).

I just put my dog in the spare room,and then when shes finished her period i clean it up and let her back in,but some dogs don't like it.You could try cutting holes in a towel then using tape to hold it on.

Dogs will clean themselves.  Let her be a dog!
