I need to know how to do it, step by step. I'm not that familiar with cars. My dad is too busy to put it in and none of my other friends will do it because they are working. I am having a hard time to find it on the internet, can you help me? I have the starter I just want to put it in.

  1. Seriously and trust me on this... Get a haynes or chilton manual for the vehicle.  They have them at parts stores etc or amazon.com etc.  This will tell you everything you would ever want to know about that car including tearing out and rebuilding the engine.  They cost around $20 USD and are worth every penny!

    HOLD ON!!

I have a free do it yourself professional guide for you.

Go to www.autozone.com ...  Look up the starter for your vehicle.  Below the picture of your starter you will see a section that says "Repair Information for your:" then click on the link that says "Mitsubishi Eclipse 1990-1998 Repair Guide"

That will bring you to a full guide with diagrams to replace it yourself.  Good luck!
