Alright, look:

I bought this POS camera from Costco: Panasonic PV GS36

It came with no software or a cable to connect to my PC, But it did have a mini USB port. I tried to connect it using my Moto Razr Cable, but it wont work. My friends told me I had to have a driver for it, so I went looking for one, but the b******s at Panasonic didn't make one,

What the h**l should I do????

  1. What OS are you using on your PC??

  2. If you have a mini dv (cassette) camcorder….

Your dv camcorder needs a firewire connection (ieee 1394) in order to download video, your PC probably did not come with a firewire port, so you will have to buy one and install it, since most computers (except possibly brand new) don't come with a firewire port, your camcorder did not come with a firewire cord so you have to purchase a cord too. Your camcorder did come with a USB cord and that is used for downloading stills from your camcorder. Make sure your camera is in playback mode.

  3. Dude, this is the page you can download the driver from...

    http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-elect...

Plus, if you're trying to get videos on you PC, after installing the driver, or even before, try using Windows Movie Maker. As soon as you open the application, you should click on "Import Videos" and it will guide you through the rest of the process...

    GL!
