  1. make sure the grooves on ur clubs r very clean

and with a full swing make  good contact  and it will be a good shot

and play with a descent ball   u want to take a steeper downswing

  2. go to http://www.thedesignerstop.com

  3. 1. Clean contact.  You must hit the ball first to get the grip on it you need.  Don't expect to spin it back out of the rough.

    2. Strike down through the ball, pinching the ball between the club and the ground and imparting backspin.

    3. Use a highly lofted wedge for a sharper angle and more backspin.  Use a wedge with designed for a lot of spin, such as the titleist 'spin milled' wedges.

  4. Spin is generated by striking the ball first in a descending blow.  It is the result of a well struck ball.  Clean, Sharp grooves on your wedge are a must.

  5. when you become able to do this, you will be doing something most of us can"t do . The pros and real good golfers make it look easy, but it is not. I'M a 12 and can"t do it and most golfersI've played with can"t. Since I can"t do it, Ican"t tell you how, but I have always been told it takes a lot of skill AND swing speed. Most of us casual golfers have neither one. I hope you learn how.

  6. 1. your iron groves must be clean and not to worn.

    2. its easier to generate spin with higher lofted clubs such as a SW or LW, and it helps if they r designed to spin "Titleist spin milled"

    3. a good ball that's designed to spin, like a Titleist Prov! Prov1x

spin is all about trapping the ball between the face of the club and the ground. an aggressive swing spins more.

  7. Steeper downswing.

Chocking up on the club  ( Hands lower on the grip).

    Higher follow through.

  8. Ok, most of them have most of it correct. Clean groves, trap it, hit down on it, etc..... Oh but an agressive swing is not the thing. (of course you have to accelerate through it)

All of those things really help the ball spin, but ball velosity and angle is the real key.  If the ball is spinning at a high rate and comes in low it will skip and stop (maybe sometimes come back some), if it comes in high it could come back, but often looses some spin being hit so high, but there is a happy medium, and if you can hit the ball with the spin and the ball is not traveling at a high pace, this is when you see them really come back. Normally these are 3/4 shots that are pinched really good.

    Hope this helps!

  9. All of the above.

But you have to play on nicer greens. You can't spin straight back on muni courses.
