How do I put fonts on photoshop?

Everytime I download a font from dafont.com , I try to put it into my fonts folder like everyone has been saying , but it never seems to show up on my photoshop . I use photoshop CS3 and I would really like some new fonts . Can someone please help me ?

Instead of dragging and dropping the font file to the folder try this:

While in the font folder, go to File and select Install New Font...

If that doesn't work, try dragging and dropping the font file to this directory: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts
