How do I put icons onto my main page

I would like to put what I already have in my "start" unto my main page without having to go to my "start"

  1. You want shortcuts on your desktop.

    Click on start, and find the icon you want on your main page. Click and drag the icon onto your main page. A second icon will be there; it's called a Shortcut.
