  1. Just put it on using your common sense. It may look tight but it could just be the fur/fat

  2. You don't. They are unsafe and you may harm your guinea pig.

  3. read the instructions?

  4. I have one of those for my piggie but sold it back because he layed there like a lump. Lay it on your guinea pigs back. Then grab the straps and bring around to the belly and snap them together.

  5. I bought one for my guinea pig which you just buckled around the chest and the neck but to be honest it took a while for my pig to let me put it on properly and then he did not move with it on at all. seriously! didn't move. the best thing to do is get a run for it, or let it run around a secure room in house (one that can be cleaned!) and if you have two pigs then they will make a piggy train and follow each other around. Leads are just not worth it.

  6. I have a Syrian hamster (also called a Teddy Bear hamster) and when I bought her her leash she refused to put it on. So...I returned it.

But, the proper way to put on a rodent leash is to make sure that the buckle in the front os done up, then have them put their head through. Then do up the buckle that goes around their waist. But If they keep trying to squirm out of it maybe it's not worth putting your guinea pig throught that...?

  7. Just make sure the piggy is calm-ish and put it on it....?

  8. I know you don't WANT people telling you to not put on the harness. But I am going to tell you to not put it on, because I am worried about your guinea pigs safety. Don't you care that you can cause serious strain to his fragile back and seriously injure him? Guinea pigs have even been killed by injuries caused by harnesses. I don't understand why you'd risk his health and even his life just to take him for a walk, which he will honestly not be interested in. He'll most likely be terrified and not want to budge.

  9. if it buckles around the neck you can buckle it and hold your pig in you lap ON THE FLOOR (it may scare your pig the first few times and if it does and your holding him you may drop him and that could kill him) and hold onto him with one hand and slide it over their head and then secure it around the waist.
