How do I put my songs from my ipod to my new mac laptop?

I just got my new mac laptop and is there a way to transfer all my songs from my ipod to it??? I just got my laptop today and I'm leaving for college today and i would like to know asap!

  1. just download itunes then plug in your ipod and the rest should be automatically done for you


  2. You can copy the songs on your iPod to your Mac using these instructions:

    Of course, you could also just transfer your iTunes library from your old Mac to your new Mac as part of the Mac setup process.

I remember hearing that an iPod can function as a flash drive for a Mac, so try opening it as a flash drive and you should be able to "drag and drop" songs.  When you open them on iTunes the titles and other song information will still show up as usual.  My kid brother does this all the time on a PC, so it should also work on a Mac, since they're both Apple devices.

  5. I would have to say Senuti as well ;-).

    You can't transfer songs from a iPod to iTunes unless you use some other software, and I think Senuti (itunes spelled backward) is the best ine out there... and it's free :-)
