How do I put on light but beautiful makeup?

i have blonde hair and blue eyes and i wanted to know what color would be the best for me. my skin is like tanish and my favorite colors are pink and like sky blue i dont like dark colors. my mom hates it when my makeup is dark so i need something that isnt too dark but it is beautiful.. tell me what to get and how to put it on and i will do it! thanks

I have the same thing - blond and blue eyes... with a mild tan...

What i usually do is use a dark brown eyeshadow around the area where eyeliner should go. then through on a shimmer pink eye shadow...the shimmer will give a fresh look instead of muggy look. When you want to use blue, try putting a small amount around the tear duct of your eye, for a punch of color

Finish with mascara
