Question:

How do I put recordable DVDs into one disk?

I have a Sony Handycam camcorder that uses any kind of disk to record. I have tons of these little disks that I recorded with everywhere I went. And I want to put them all in one big CD. For example, I went to California and recorded my trip with six 1 hour disks and I want to put those six into one disk so I won't have to change the disk everytime. Does anyone know how to do that? Do you do it by computer? I bought this big disk that matches with the little disk I record with. I tried it on my computer but nothing happened. Help please! Thanks!!! ;D

  1. It's fairly easy to do. The easiest way is to Import all the discs into  Windows Movie Maker which is already on your computer, (use the Help menu), when you have imported & edited them you then burn them to one disc but make sure that you select the EP orSLP mode though the more you put on to a disc the poorer  the quality will be,LP mode lets you put on 4 hours without too much quality loss so I suggest you make 2 discs  covering the 6 hours.Don't forget to finalise the finished discs & I suggest that you use a RW disc until you get the hang of it, then when you are satisfied you can copy the RW disc to a write once DVD, be aware that this process takes a fair bit of time, for a quicker option you can do it with a DVD recorder but you would have to connect the cam via the red/white/yellow cable to the corresponding sockets on the recorder and record each disc in EP or SLP mode remembering that quality deteriorates the more you try to put on.don't forget to finalise the finished disc but only when you have finished recording all the little ones. Good luck.

  2. this is difficult, there may have been some software included with your camera, but yes this is usually done on computer

or you could use a standalone dvd recorder,

but what you'd have to do is use a dvd backup software to save each disk in your comp, and then burn them all to the dvd,

i'm sorry, could help more if i were there, but idk

    :)
