How do I put video clips on iMovie?

I burnt a CD from another computer (mac compatable) and i uploaded the cd onto my mac. Now, I cant figure out how to get the clips on imovie...any help?

What format is the video in? .mov or .avi or .mp4?

Try launching iMovie and dragging the video clip to the clips pane or the timeline.

If the video was in a DVD format (vob or vro), then you will need the CD... download and install HandBrake

and rip the video... save it as DV, .mov or .avi or .mp4 - then drag it into iMovie.

iMovie File > Import or launch iMovie > Create a new project > drag and drop the video to the clips pane or timeline.
