Question:

How do I quick-start a screensaver from desktop?

Usually for a quick-start of screensaver from desktop we have to create a desktop short-cut of the .scr file from Windows system32(XP-SP2).On double-clicking that short-cut icon on desktop & leaving your hand from the mouse, the screensaver starts. In my case,on double-clicking the icon, the 'settings' window only starts, and the screensaver does not start at all.I have seven screensavers and all are like that.

Any solution,please?

  1. Sounds like there's something wrong with the shortcut - maybe it's not pointing at the correct file?

I just tried to make a shortcut and Windowz thinks that the .scr is associated with another program - check in Explorer-Tools-Folder Options-File Types to see if .scr has been grabbed by another program... well, it's not listed there - I'm stuck!!

  2. to make it correct follow the steps:

1)go to control panel and select FOLDER OPTIONS.

    2)Then choose file types Tab

    3)then click on "NEW"

4)then in file extension write:               .scr

5)after writing press ok then click on SCR

    6) go to advanced located down then choose "test"as default. then press ok.

    then try

    hope it works.

If you cannot understand should I make a video on youtube?

  3. i know autocad 2009 steal *.scr .. fix it how they said above.
