  1. suppose the person being quoted is shakespeare and the person who is quoting is someone named mary jane

In your paper you would write Mary Jane quoted Shakespeare in her book "......"

  2. Lets use........this quote for an example:

" I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none."

        ~Macbeth

V quoted Macbeth with this quote in the movie V for Vendetta,

If you were formally writing it, you would say something like:

" I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none."

        ~V, quoting Macbeth

However, if you wanted to use that quote, You would just say

" I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none."

        ~Macbeth

But if you were talking about V for Vendetta, you could say

" I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none."

        ~V, quoting Macbeth

                           OR

The Macbeth quote "I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none." was used in V for Vendetta, when V was talking to Evy in his kitchen about their different opinions on polotics, bravery, liberty ect........

depending on what form you are using it in.....but if you just wanted to use that quote, and you werent talking about V for Vendetta, or anything related to it, and you just knew he said that, you would still need to just quote it directly from Macbeth, not V!
