How do I re-felt my low cost pool table?

I would probably offer to perform a root canal on a friend before I would consider recovering their pool table. It just isn't a do-it-yourself project.

If the table really need new felt I would contact a local pool hall and ask the owner or manager if they can refer you to someone capable of taking care of your needs. You are probably looking at $250.00 to $350.00 to have it done by someone in the know.

Low cost or not hire it done-Or just upgrade to a quality table with Simonis cloth And still hire a pro to maintain it

Do you already have new cloth for your pool table? Are you asking for instructions on HOW to re-cover a pool table? If so, I would consult someone who has experience in covering pool tables. Even though you have a "low cost" table, there's no reason to re-cover it in a mediocre fashion. You might as well do it right. On-line directions won't help much. You need to know how to take your rails apart, and properly re-cover them and replace them.

When re-covering your table, it is also the opportune time to clean out the tracks underneath. Clean out the pockets well too. Give it an overhaul --- it'll feel like a brand new table. Clean the balls well too, while you're at it.

Call local pool table retailers, and get some price quotes on cloth and labor. Talk to Bar owners, and ask for tips, hints, help, and suggestions, as to where you can find some good used pool table cloth. Ask if he/she knows someone who will do the labor for you (if you don't know how).

If you can re-cover the table yourself, check with pool halls, bars, and bowling alleys, and ask if they have any used pool table cloth that you can buy or even possibly have.
