How do I re-thread a bobbin on a Singer 9217 sewing machine?

No free, informative sites seem to have my sewing machine model, and I have no idea how to re-thread a bobbin. It looks like my only choice is to pay for a new manual, considering I lost mine.

It will probably be best to get the manual, if you haven't threaded bobbins on several different kinds of machines.  Basically you need to run the thread from the spool through a different set of hooks and tension that are usually on top of the machine, onto the bobbin. Then the bobbin sits on a special post which you usually snap into place manually. You also need to release the clutch on the machine. That's usually done by turning the hub of the handwheel. Then you push down on the foot pedal and the bobbin fills.
