How do I read my SAT scores?

I recieved three different catagories in my SAT. Critical Reading, Writing, and Math. How do I know which score to tell a college on an application. I think I add the Critical Reading and Math together right?

you have to add all three scores up together and thats you score out of 2400.  however, some colleges do not really look at the writing section, so in this case, just add the reading and math up to come up with a score out of 1600.
