How do I record computer sounds?

Question

I am trying to record sounds that are playing on my computer (Such as music I am listening to on internet radio) so that I can save them for later. Is there any application out there that enables you to do this?

NOTE: I am NOT trying to record sound from a microphone, I am trying to record COMPUTER SOUND

if ur recording with sound recording applications, make sure u select "stereo mix" to record sounds coming out of ur computer (sound card), any other setting will just record ur microphone or something else
