How do I record music to my computer from a dvd playing on my computer?

A song i like is on arrested development season one, it plays the entire song, and i was wondering if there was a way of recording it easily. I played it on my computer, not a dvd player

1- (best way)..is to look up the song on itunes and download it

2 - Buy an audio interface and feed the output to the input and record with a program such as Audacity (an interface will keep the quality)

3 - (not the best way but will work...) take a stereo 1/8" cable and plug the output (green) to the blue line input on your sound card.  Record with audacity.

*Sometimes audacity will allow you to set the input source to 'what you hear" and so you can record as you play audio though the DVD.

*This depends on the sound card drivers, it worked on my old Dell but not my new Acer.
