My TV options are: Video 1, Video 2, and Channel 3. We watch the satellite on Channel 3 but the DVD recorder/player is only used on Video 2. I tried recording off the dish but I just ended up with a black screen. I know it has somthing to do with the channel option on the TV but I have no idea how to make it so I can record off my dish.

  1. put a scart lead between the scart socket on the sky box marked video, connect the other end to a spare socket on the back of DVD, if the socket you use is marked, say, av2 ,then set your DVD to record on av 2 every time you want to record sky, sky box would have to be on the station you want to record

  2. hook up your dish throgh the audio video cables red white yellow try recording it that way or if ur dvd recorder has a rf input the cable you use for the dish on channel 3. my dish is hooked up through my component cables so that might help.
