How do I record things on my TV onto my computer?

I want to record me playing a video game, like the screen. But how do I do it? What do I need? Thanks.

  1. You need to have an A/V input card installed in your computer with a driver to make it work.  They should have them at any computer store.  They are fairly inexpensive and easy to install.


  2. hmmm the only way i thought of the recording games on the screen was like have recording program on ur computer and use it while ur playing your game. kinda like a keylogger but it tracks pictures, not letters. what the guy above me said sounded fairly doable. but the easiest is if u like hav a tivo kinda thing. use it while ur playing your games and using the cable that come with the tivo load it to ur computer and save it ther.

  3. Look for "Pinnacle Systems" online; there's a blue thingamabob that allows you to run A/V or Video-S feeds into a USB 2.0 port on your computer. It also comes with software to record and edit the footage. You can make killer montages with it!
