I have a Aiptek MPVR digital camera.. I've wanted to turn my VHS movies to.. avi or whatever file onto my computer and burn them into a DVD for a while.. I have the TV OUT or whatever its called cable so I can record stuff from the TV to my digital camera.. But, I want to know if there's a way that.. while my camera is connected to my computer via USB.. if instead of my files being saved onto my digital camera, it would be saved onto my computer. Maybe using a tv tuner program or something.. IDK. someone help.

  1. I think you're making things way too complicated.  If you've already got a capture card, just connect your VCR directly to it - you don't need the TV or your camcorder.

If you haven't got a capture card, don't go for a TV card - the quality is usually very poor.  Have a look at the Kworld DVD Maker products or the Pinnacle Dazzle.  If you're really serious about this, look at the Canopus ADVC range of analog / digital converters.

btw, are you sure you can record your tv on your camera?  That's very unusual!
