  1. Why would you? Teak is beautiful!!

  2. Why wood you want to teak is brown & mah= is red>>>put a mah= stain varnash if you must>

  3. Good Afternoon,

I agree with your question in regards to my opinion that teak looks amazing when it's all finished up like mahogany. Teak is great when it's oiled and unfinished, but it dries out too quickly, leaving a dry, unfinished and dangerous piece of wood. We refinish boats at our marina, and we've refinished teak to look like mahogany on many older Sea Ray's and sailboats as well. I'll give our suppliers name and what materials to use. The stuff we use is called "Honey Teak" and it is manufactured by Fabula, Inc. out of Florida. You can reach their website at www.signaturefinish.com. They'll point you in the right direction. Good Luck!!!

  4. If you sand the teak back to bare timber and apply an oil based mahogany stain and let it soak in and dry, then apply a proprietry finish such as tongue oil and varnish it will look beautiful. try a test piece first. hope this helps.
