How do I register a GAP compatible phone to a base station?

I have a BT GAP combatable handset which in theory I should be able to register to my Simiens DP450 base station. I've searched for base 1 to 4 but with no joy.

Your Siemens should be GAP compatible too. Check your Siemens base if it has full registration. Say, if it can only support 5 handsets and five have been registered, you can't register the 6th handset. You have to unregister any of the registered handset then register your BT.

If you can't find the Siemens handsets, you can unregister them all. Press and hold the base PAGE key while inserting the power adapter. Wait until you can hear a beep tone.
