  1. Ebony's answer is good.  The breeder will need to have registered the litter and have the official paperwork for each pup in the litter.  He'll put on any info you'll need to then send in your application to have the individual pup registered.

If you were promised AKC registration with the price of your pet you should have had them in your hand when you walked out the door with your pup.  Walk out the door with your money and without the dog if they say they'll get them to you later.

I once had a "real" breeder who showed her animals (Persian cats) promise a pedigree after neuter and then conveniently "forget" who I was when I came asking for it.  Just do your homework and ask other exhibitors about the person you buy from in the future.

Even without paperwork, you can still register your dog so it can compete at AKC events.  You'll want to apply for an ILP (Indefinite Listing Privaledge).  Go to the AKC website and look it up.  You'll need to take a photo of your dog and write a letter stating why you think your dog is a purebred English Mastiff.

  2. worried about taking care of your pets and pet care issues...

    refer to this website

  3. The litter should have been registered shortly after birth, providing both parents were also registered. You have to find out the kennel name, the parents names & their registration numbers. This sounds fishy to me. A real breeder gives all the paperwork when the pup is sold. You don't need to bother with all this unless you plan on showing your dog.
