get itunes and plug ur ipod in. it should say (ur name)'s ipod

Following these steps should help:

1) Restart your computer

2) Reset your iPod (this won't erase your music)

     - Turn off iPod touch and turn it on again

     - Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPod touch for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then drag the slider.

     - Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

3) If that doesn't work, then you may need to download iTunes 7.7 again.  Download it here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
