Question:

How do I remedy my weird electric charge?

I have a very strong natural electric charge...I am always saturated with static, I shock everyone, I s***w up electronics from just touching them, you can see weird electric phenomina in a lot of my pictures...consequently I'm often nervous about pumping gas or being outside during electrical storms. Is there a way for me to get this "normalized" or learn to control it myself because it's become very problematic. I feel like I should be on X-Men...like I'll start shooting lightning bolts out of my eyes any minute. (lol jk) I've looked into things like Reiki, but that seems to be geared specifically to harnessing energy for healing purposes. I need to be electrically balanced!!

  1. maybe you have high salt levels and they create a charge being ions and all.

  2. this is what u do..  take mayo, ketchup, mustard , sour cream.. cheese.. horse radish.. choped pickles.. shreded wheat.. ..... mix all of those in a bowl and dump over your head.. do not take shower untill 3 hours have passed..   and you will be cured..

i know it sounds crazy but it works..

  3. please dont attach a capasitor to yourself LOL

Try puting your hand on your radiator before doing anything electrical

I always to that and it HELPs...!

  4. My advice is to change the kind of shoes and fabrics you wear. Different materials will build up static charge to different degrees (avoid polymers). Try not to shuffle your feet when you walk, if you do that. In your own house, use a humidifier during the drier months (e.g., winter) to keep the humidity up to at least 40-50% and this will help dissipate static charge as well.

  5. Answer: This is all in your head.  Seriously.

There is nothing inherent in any person that produces or attracts electricity.  It's possible you are in an environment (house, work) that has carpet and you like shoes that generate static electricity.  That is the only way you can hold an electrical charge.

  6. On the contrary since you most likely won't choose a best answer and will allow the question to go for voting, the smart *** answer is almost guaranteed a best answer (especially if it is by a resident skeptic).

  7. You sound alot like me.I can use my body as a radio receiver.I just plug in the computer speakers to the power socket and touch the silver end pieces.I have done this twice.Heard the local radio station thought computers speakers only connected to me.Unfortunatly there is some nasty side effects with this.It gave me a head ake for twenty four hours afterwards. My hair stood end and my head was funny for a while. You can try this if you like but do not do it for more than two minutes.

  8. This is so interesting and I'm curious to know your age. I went through the very same thing in  my late 20's, early 30's. (I'm convinced we go through a huge energy peak about then) I read somewhere about women needing to be grounded with the earth more and the simple solution is to take off your shoes more, wear skirts and put your hands in some soil. I started doing these things and haven't had a problem since. Get out in the garden, plant something. Kick off your shoes and give some of that energy to the earth! Good luck :)

  9. That spray on static guard works pretty well.

It can't be that bad, if you are able to use your computer safely.

Its more likely related to your fabric softener than natural super powers, I wouldn't be worried about being struck by lightning if I was you (except for the normal precautions that everyone should take in an electrical storm.)

Photography is tricky, and people seem to think if there is anything wrong with thier photo, its caused by something supernatural. For some reason, nobody considers the fact that they just might have misjudged the lighting, moved the camera during exposure, or used the wrong film speed.

Get a nice SLR camera and a book on how it works. Learn about shutter speeds, ISO settings, focal length and stuff like that, and you will soon be taking fantastic photos everytime. But until you do that, I dont want to hear the old "I always take perfect photos, so there must be another mysterious reason my photos don't come out good"

  10. Maybe you need to earth yourself.

  11. Of course always ground yourself before working on electronics (microchips, etc.) because static electricity can be hundreds of volts.  Perhaps your shoes are good insulators and a change (including wool socks to increase foot moisture?) would help drain away unwanted static electricity.  Cars drag a rubber strip to dissipate static electricity.  There is no static electricity when it is raining out as moisture prevents it from accumulating.  In the winter relatively dry air enters a house, is heated and becomes even drier (and bed sheets can then cling to you and produce sparks).  Perhaps a good humidifier and a humidity indicator (hygrometer) can offer some improvement.  When clothes are passed through a clothes dryer they can pick up lots of static electricity (and cling to you when you remove them).  Using an anti-static sheet (Bounce, etc.) in the dryer should avoid static electricity during drying and while you wear the clothes.  I'd also try breathing on my hands (to obtain moisture) before touching anything that might cause a spark (like a gas pump nozzle).

  12. i have this problem what i do before i cook iws wack metalic shelves that cgets rifd of it then im uisually ok for a lil while i giev everyone else myne too its wierd

  13. Start wearing only cotton and other natural clothing and shoes.Don't imagine or pretend you have powers like so many others.

  14. Some people are naturally strong receptors of strong static electricity build-up. There are certain ways that can be done to remedy this problem. Because carpet floorings are the major source of static electricity, you could try wearing shoes that have rubber soles. A change in the preference for clothes that absorbs or conducts static electricity could also help. Lastly, if you could be comfortable wearing gloves, then do so.
