It's actually in a combo TV - VCR. The movie wasn't that good to begin with, I'd hate to think it will be the ONLY movie I'll be able to watch!

  1. well its actually quite easy. u press the eject button

  2. If your VHS tape stucks inside VCR you have to open up the casing and manually pull out the tape.

Since its a combo, it's better to ask for professional help.

  3. try the 'eject' button.

  4. I'm assuming you tried to eject it, but it won't  for some reason.

Normally, if it were just a VCR, you could try opening the case and see if you can manually unjam the cassette yourself.

However since this is a TV/VCR combo, I wouldn't recommend doing this. The capacitors inside a TV can store lethal amounts of electricity even after the TV has been unplugged for awhile.  For this reason I don't suggest opening the case.  Unfortunately, the VCR mechanism is under the TV making it difficult, if not impossible, for you to access it without specialized tools, not to mention avoiding electrocution.

If you really want the tape back and/or want to watch other movies on the TV/VCR, you'll have to take the set into a repair shop.  Also be sure to have them clean the VCR as well, to help prevent the VCR from eatting any more tapes.

Or, just use this as an excuse to pitch this thing, and buy a new TV - one that doesn't have a VCR built into it.  Instead, buy a separate DVD/VCR combo player.  They're pretty cheap.
