How do I remove a co-signer's name from a tite if I paid it off already? It's currently in both names

I paid off a auto loan early, and the lein holder sent me the title, but it's in the co-signer's name first, and then my name is listed. How do I remover the co-signer's name

The co-signer must sign the title and you must re-title in just your name

The co-signer needs to sign off on the title, then you get it retitled in your name only.

If it says so & so OR so & so, you can just go to the DMV and take the other person off the title. However, if it says so & so AND so & so, you must get the other person to sign off the title.
