Question:

How do I remove a drop down list on my computer?

I think my roommate logged on and added the drop down box to sites I visit such as google. If I type in G - everything that I have looked up before appears.

HOW do I get rid of that? I don't want others to see it.

  1. Clear your internet history.

There's different ways to do it depending on which browser you use so I'll give you the standard version (takes longer but is applicable to all browsers)

    Go to: START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>INTERNET OPTIONS>GENERAL TAB>DELETE TEMP.FILES> CLEAR HISTORY

If you use Firefox, go to the top bar of the browser, go to TOOLS>CLEAR PRIVATE DATA and then make sure the appropriate categories are pre-checked and then click on "Clear Private Data"

In Internet Explorer, you choose from the top bar: TOOLS>and then the Internet Options will appear and you do the same as for the standard browser options that I first posted about.

Or, if when using I.E. you have the "History" tab on the bar above (or some users have it in a column down the left side) you can delete your tracks there.

Sadly, though, it removes all the history for you too and you may have wanted to revisit those sites.

    Bummer!
