How do I remove a lock washer from a s***w?

Some cannot be removed.  It it dont slide off, its not supposed to.

you haven't furnished much information.  If its a lock washer that is permanently on the s***w, you're going to have to use some imagination.  Since its a lock washer and since it has a gap in it, take two needle nose pliers and pull it and it should come off the s***w.  You have to have a lot strength in your arms.

It must be together as a unit, If you don't want to reuse the s***w, you could put the edge of the washer in a vise and pull the s***w out with a pliers or pound the s***w out with a hammer.
