I am guilty I did not wax and buff my dependable dirt bike that is road legal. I have just rode and rode for 4000+ miles, it has paid for itself 3x over now and I need to show it some respect.

So began the process with new treads and tune up and the second washing after 3 years of faithfull service. Went to auto stupid and found no direct answers I read every brand and bottle and found only one that said the words plastic and shine together. After applying blak majic 4x to afflicted parts it now appears pinkish and dullish red in runs like I poured it from and unmixed buckett of paint down across the panels????

I usually know the right way to do things but I am baffled now, and the bike looks worse than when I started to show it love. Please dont respond if you are just taking a guess how to fix it!

  1. there is something called plastic renew on the market, some sandpaper and polish, DON't buy, not worth the money

    buy new aftermarket plastic

    or live with the fade

  2. I just answered this and guess I hit cancel instead of submit. I brighten my plastic fenders up with some very fine sandpaper. I wet sanded it and then waxed it. Came out very nice!
