Question:

How do I remove glitter from my daughter's hair?

My dd attended a b'day party at one of those girly stores. She came home w/ her hair in an up-do and totally glued in place (I think they used industrial strength hair spray). They "pixie-dusted" her twice and her scalp is covered in glitter.

Any advice? I've already shampoo'd, conditioned and combed through it w/ a lice comb hoping that would pull it out.

  1. i've never been able to get it out of my daughters' hair.I have two girls with waist length hair as well.Whenever they have glitter, even when I think I got it all,it never fails that there will be more in a day that seems to pop up out of nowhere!

I would suggest after you wash hair, blow dry it,it will cling more to the wet hair, and the blow drying will get rid of a little.

    Good luck!

  2. i dilluted some white glue with vinegar.  got it out of my daughter's hair.  i used a 50-50 mix.  just use it like shampoo.

  3. You mean Libby Lu's? Well, I say let it come out on its own. It should all be gone after about 5 days of bathing. Don't try too hard to get it out, you might hurt her scalp.

  4. try peanut butter- the glitter should cling to it and then wash right out

  5. I wouldn't worry about it really.  It's just alittle glitter.  If I were your daughter I would LOVE to have glitter stuck in my hair! It'll come out over time.  Don't kill your daughter's hair.
